Living in an apartment has its restrictions when it comes to making music and not disturbing the peace with loud noise. For me it wasn’t my loud music that was disturbing, it was the loud thumping of my drum set and my neighbors getting disturbed below me. I make a lot of music and not being able to create really started to disturb me. I came across a digital portable drum set when I was thinking about how I could possibly be a nomad and travel with a music studio, that’s when I researched and found the Pyle PTED06 Portable Drum Set. This compact drum set is pretty sweet, it packs a lot of punch considering it was around $200. It has over 60 kits that sound crisp and realistic but what worked for me are the kick pedals which are small pads that make no thumping or kicking which is absolutely silent, perfect for apartment living. There are 10 user customizable kits and I am happy with it, plus it has external speakers along with MIDI and a audio plug in jack. You can take this thing anywhere if you travel to record or perform. If that is what you need, something compact and has high quality sound, I recommend the Pyle PTED06 Portable Drum Set. Here are the specs.
