If you are looking for a private jet, maybe you should consider a conversion. You can get a 1994 BOEING 747 for around $15M and make a BBJ conversion for under $1M. The conversion would require mechanics, computers, gear, living rooms, plumbing, kitchens, bedrooms and whatever else you can imagine. If it needs new engines that would require an extra $8M-$30M. You could even charter it as a BBJ. This would be an affordable way to repurpose an older jet while saving money. New BOEING 747 BBJ’s go for around $367M.
