Creating fusion power has been a scientific interest for decades. It would be a breakthrough for perpetual energy. China has been developing an artificial sun by using plasma as fusion for 1,066 seconds. For fusion to take place it needs to reach a temperature of 100 million degrees Celsius. That has been one of the main obstacles to solve for success. China’s artificial sun is as close as scientists have come to creating fusion.
