What Can You Learn From Being Degraded?

I’m a natural fighter, I naturally love and care about people but when all they do is insult and degrade, I can’t help but wonder what it really does for anyone… being degraded comes with any territory, there will always be someone that thinks they are better than you no matter how significant you feel. I have worked plenty of blue collar jobs from custodian cleaning and dishwashing to pizza delivery and I never got treated good with these jobs. I am expected to perform like a master even when they expect me to expect mistreatment. What do I do? I’m happy I have the job! Things that used to bother me disappear when I get degraded. For instance I never wanted to deliver pizzas until I got mistreated at work and started DoorDashing. That lead to getting a delivery job for more hours, tips and paid gas mileage. It didn’t work out because the manager was too busy degrading me, he messed up on an order and ended up costing his business a bad reputation. (I really left because I didn’t want all of the extra miles on my car). Then when I put my two weeks in at my other job, my manager didn’t want me to leave so she gave me a promotion. I feel like humility has its gold. It definitely shows when you are faced with a struggle or situation that isn’t necessarily average. I don’t know why people mistreat and degrade others, maybe they haven’t learned from humility or haven’t gotten degraded. Maybe they are afraid to rise above it. All I know is when you make gold out of a difficult situation, the pay lasts longer and the people respect you more. The only way I can deal with degrasion is by getting away from it and overcoming it. If I can’t get a promotion for my good effort and company loyalty, I’ll find something else to do. You gotta do what you gotta do though. If people judge you for just making money, why don’t they give you a better job? Don’t tell me it’s because they envy you for your hard work ethic that they are convinced this is all you deserve in life. You’ll most likely be their boss or landlord in the future and they’ll come to you for all of the answers. Being degraded tests you, and when you know your limits you know what you are capable of. Life is a test to understand and grow, when enough is enough it’s time to move on. So what can you learn from being degraded? To not mistreat anything because if it’s not broken don’t break it, and if you are being degraded, get away from it by finding something better or by overcoming it to own it and to turn the tables for better opportunities. If anyone is degrading you, they are bringing bad luck to themselves and to you. Karma can only handle that by you following your path and exploring your journey. Don’t degrade, upgrade!
